Cave de Ribeauville
Delicious Alsace wines from France’s oldest and best co-operative
Cave de Ribeauville is the oldest wine co-operative in France and it is currently going from strength to strength under the beady eye of Director Philippe Dry.
A quality charter has been set up with the help of winemaker Evelyne Dondelinger and the 40 grape growers, to ensure low yields and only hand-picked grapes. With more than 260 hectares at its disposal encircling the ancient town of Ribeauville, this thoroughly modern co-op has access to the very best fruit for its classically balanced range of wines.
As well as all the hard work in the vineyards, the effort in the cave has been matched with the recruitment of Bordeaux consultant, Denis Dubordieu, one of the world’s leading experts in white wine production, to work alongside Evelyne.

Denis’ words…
“In Ribeauville I was struck by the discovery of a superb vineyard, on a human scale, with very enthusiastic and professional grape growers. It’s hard to find as much motivation and competence per acre! It is really an exciting project…”
