Agricola Castellana
Cooperative winemaking at its finest!
Agricola Castellana is the largest co-op in Rueda. We found them because every time we asked a Ribera del Duero producer where their Verdejo vineyards were, they looked sheepish and muttered something about Castellana. It turns out they produce and bottle almost everyone else's wines in the region who don’t have vineyards!
Agricola Castellana has been producing wines in the Rueda for the last 75 years, and own some of the region’s oldest vines. Under the Cuatro Rayas label, Castellana concentrates on Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc, and in a region with extreme variations in temperature and stony, dusty soil, this terroir creates unique characteristics within these two varieties.

Supreme Spanish Whites
A fine example of cooperative winemaking, these really are fantastic white wines from Spain at a price to fight off all the competition. Their Sauvignon Blanc is really giving the wines of New Zealand and Chile a run for their money!
