Chile
Chile continues to explore its huge potential in terms of vineyard sites and grape varieties. It has many natural advantages, not least of which is its isolation. This has protected the vineyards from diseases for centuries and now Chile has some of the healthiest vines in the world. This shows in their wines, which have wonderful purity of fruit and are great value at every price point. The varied climates in this long, thin country also make it suitable for producing all styles of wine, from crisp aromatic whites to full bodied, full flavoured reds.
Bibendum Fact
If you picked up a map of Chile and laid it over Europe it would stretch from the tip of Scotland to Nigeria. Imagine the range of winemaking conditions over that vast area!
