Pierre Ferrand
The “1er du Cognac”
In Grande Champagne, at the very heart of the ‘Golden Triangle’, Cognac Ferrand produces some of the world’s finest Cognac. The region’s limestone soil provides the grapes with the acidity needed to produce the base wine for excellent Cognac but it takes more than just superior conditions to produce award winning brandy. From beginning to end, the Pierre Ferrand process is managed by some of the best in the industry.
A discerning master distiller and cellar master create and closely guard Pierre Ferrand’s reputation for excellence. The goal has always been to embody the outstanding, traditional character of Grande Champagne Cognac. Traditional naming conventions are not used by Pierre Ferrand as the ages of their blends are much older than are needed to qualify for the classification VSOP and XO.

100 bottles of wine = 1 bottle of Cognac
The Ancestrale includes spirit over 70 years old that have seen some 89% of the original spirits evaporate from the cask, meaning 100 bottles of the base wine are required to make enough spirits for one bottle of Cognac.
