Larressingle
Fantastic, family-owned Armagnac house
Larressingle Armagnac was created in 1837 by the Papelorey family and for 170 years and five generations of the family have blended Armagnac in and around the small village of Larressingle in the heart of the Tenareze region. Drawing eaux de vie from the best of the Armagnac sub-regions, Larressingle offers an outstanding range of fine blends and vintages.
The Armagnac region sits in the South West of France, within the Gascony region, close to the Atlantic Ocean and at the base of the Pyrenees Mountains. There are three sub-areas (the Bas-Armagnac, Tenareze and the Haut-Armagnac areas) within the region and each has special qualities. It is the skill of the Maitre de Chais (the cellars masters) for Larressingle who select and balance the different brandies to produce the finest of Armagnacs which are then aged for anything from 2 to over 70 years.

What makes Armagnac special
Armagnac is France’s oldest brandy. It has concentrated, complex aromas. The soil, climate and distillation are different to those for Cognac and the resulting spirit is like rich velvet.
