Tasting Notes for Fleurie Millesime Cave de Fleurie 2007 37.5cl (screwcap):
A striking and vivid red colour, with several punnets worth of red berry fruit on the nose and palate. Soft and fresh with light, ripe tannins and crisp acidity it is a benchmark Bojo.
Producer Information:
The oldest co-operative in Beaujolais, Cave de Fleurie are responsible for making over a third of all AC Fleurie wine on behalf of its 320 members. Despite its size, the Cave's totally quality focussed and represents very good value. The wines are fresh, attractive and bright with clean fruit flavours - archetypal Beaujolais, in other words. Their move to screwcap for the 2005 vintage, at Bibendum's request, was another welcome innovation.
