Tasting Notes for Stonier Reserve Chardonnay 2004 75cl:
Big and powerful but elegant and graceful too. Nutty, buttery aromas with peach and melon fruit. The palate has peachy, citrus and fig fruit rounded out by a creamy texture and delineated by fine acidity.
Press Coverage:
"...it's bloody good. The peach and apricot fruit is concentrated yet delicate, with hazelnut sitting over the top of the fruit...fresh acidity on the finish."

Producer Information:
Stonier is located on the Mornington Peninsula across Port Philip Bay from Melbourne and is home to one of the most stunning views in Aussie wine: whale watching with a glass of Pinot in your hand whilst sitting on the veranda is the perfect way to unwind after a hard day in the vineyards. It's easy to see why winemaker Geraldine McFaul has never felt the need to leave since her arrival in 1995. Taking her inspiration from Burgundy, Geraldine handcrafts sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in a cool climate that is perfect for these varietals with the Reserve level wines having a justifiable claim to be among Australia's best examples.
