Tasting Notes for Glenguin Shiraz Stonybroke 2003 75cl:
Earthy, leathery aromas are followed by a mouthful of concentrated savoury blackberry fruit with multiple layers of spice and oak. Soft dusty tannins are supported by crisp acidity on the long finish.
Producer Information:
Scottish Baron, exile from the House of Lords and former racing driver, Robin Tedder MW is an evangelist for New South Wales' wines. As you might expect Hunter Valley Shiraz and Semillon are his twin passions and ten minutes in his company is all you need to be convinced of their greatness. Future Glenguin projects to look out for include a Glengoyne malt whisky finished in Robin's Shiraz barrels and some very exciting Tannat from a maturing vineyard planted in 1997.
