Tasting Notes for Glenguin Botrytised Semillon 2006 375ml:
Deep gold, with aromas of honey, mandarin and butterscotch. Medium-bodied and sweet on the palate with notes of seville orange marmalade, honey and apricot with a wave of fresh, zingy lemony acidity on the finish.
Producer Information:
Scottish Baron, exile from the House of Lords and former racing driver, Robin Tedder MW is an evangelist for New South Wales' wines. As you might expect Hunter Valley Shiraz and Semillon are his twin passions and ten minutes in his company is all you need to be convinced of their greatness. Future Glenguin projects to look out for include a Glengoyne malt whisky finished in Robin's Shiraz barrels and some very exciting Tannat from a maturing vineyard planted in 1997.
