ViVAS Supply Chain Co-ordinator (Temp)

Bibendum needs an experienced temporary Supply Chain co-ordinator to look after and co-ordinate the Supply Chain process for ViVas, the joint venture between Bibendum and 3663 where Bibendum manage and source the wine category for the large and diverse range of 3663 customers.

This standalone role reports into the Bibendum Core Purchasing Logistics Team Leader and is hugely important with overall responsibility for coordinating stock from supplier to 3663 and for developing the role as the joint venture evolves. Stock movement and replenishment is in the form of either direct orders from suppliers (deep sea & European), via our 3rd party warehouse or via our nominated bottling plant to 3663.

We are looking for a motivated and organised team player whose CV will demonstrate a good understanding of (as well as experience of administering and co-ordinating) the whole of the supply chain process(supplier to customer).

Working closely with the internal ViVas team, our suppliers and 3663 the Supply Chain Co-ordinator will forecast demand and maintain stock levels, facilitate all orders and ensure that all aspects of the supply chain operate effectively. To achieve this, the primary responsibilities for the role are:

  • working with suppliers, shipping and transport to manage scheduling, stock levels and distribution to minimise costs and working capital;
  • coordinating with the bulk supply chain coordinator the supply of the bulk lines;
  • to act as the primary operational contact for 3663;
  • maintaining product codes and prices, approving invoices (both to 3663 and from suppliers) and managing all import documentation;
  • producing ViVAS reports, including reports on performance, and for communicating stock issues.

In addition to the specific supply chain experience we are looking for, all candidates applying for the role should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • strong organisational, coordinating and planning skills.;
  • good analytical and numeracy skills and the ability to analyse data and problem solve;
  • strong communication skills to co-ordinate the many elements of the bulk process;
  • a meticulous eye for detail and the ability process accurately;
  • a flexible approach with the ability to innovate;
  • the ability both to work alone and with a team; together with a supportive and proactive mentality for the ViVas team and strategy.

Experience of working in wine is not a pre-requisite but it would be very beneficial.

This immediately available position is based in our offices in Primrose Hill. The role is a temporary vacancy to the end of February 2009.
