Stock Control Supervisor (Temp)

New

Bibendum needs an experienced temporary Stock Control Supervisor. We are looking for a motivated and organised team player with a CV that demonstrates a good understanding of bonded warehousing coupled with supervisory experience and knowledge of stock control of wet goods.

This critical role within the Supply Chain Team reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and has responsibility for managing the office based Stock Control team and for ensuring the smooth running of the third party warehouse whilst managing and resolving all stock discrepancies within our main and Scottish warehouses.

There will be regular visits to the warehouses to develop the working relationship and excellent communication skills are needed in order to build relationships at all levels.

As supervisor you will guide and manage the stock team whilst at the same time carrying out an active stock control role that includes everything from regular reporting, resolving discrepancies, writing off stock, assessing credit requests from the warehouse and overseeing warehouse replenishment transfers with many other stock control activities in-between.

This is a challenging and detailed role and in addition to the specific stock control and supervisory experience we are looking for, all candidates applying for the role should be able to demonstrate the following:

• strong organisational, administration, coordinating and planning skills;
• statistical analysis experience along with good analytical and numeracy skills;
• experience of working on databases;
• a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to process accurately;
• a logical and enquiring mind;
• the ability to multi-task whilst working in a very deadline driven environment;
• methodical, flexible and innovative approach with the ability to think clearly under pressure;
• excellent IT skills - particularly Excel;
• a supportive and proactive mentality; and
• experience of supervising staff.

Experience of working in wine is not a pre-requisite but would be very beneficial.
