What does 'non OWC' mean?

When buying wine; in particular expensive wines, you may come across the following abbreviations used either to describe the packaging or the condition of the labels:

OWC = Original Wooden Case

SHC = Second Hand Carton

CR = Carton Repack

BS = Bin Soiled (dirty or stained labels)

This provides additional information on the wine and is an indication of provenance - whether it has been carefully stored and cared for or not.
