Catena Zapata Winemaker Dinner at Mu
Date: 17 September 2008
Price: £59
Venue: Mu Restaurant, London
New
Catena Zapata is Argentina's foremost winery producing some of the finest wines in the New World. Founded by Nicolas Catena, the winery has pioneered high altitude grape growing in the Andes Mountains, and today owns some of the highest vineyards in the world.
Catena's signature grape is Malbec, which they have transformed from being almost forgotten into one of the world's most exciting varietals. In addition to Malbec, they also make world class Cabernet and Chardonnay - Tim Atkin MW recently described Catena Alta Chardonnay as "easily the best white wine made in Argentina."
Join Catena Zapata winemaker Mariela Molinari for a five-course food and wine matching dinner at London's Mu Restaurant in Knightsbridge. Chef Paul Knight is creating a special menu to pair with the wines and Mariela will talk us through the story of Catena Zapata as we taste. It promises to be a wonderful evening.
