La Mission v Haut Brion Dinner with Jean-Philippe Delmas (7.30pm)

We are delighted that Jean-Philippe Delmas of Chateau Haut Brion is coming to London on Wednesday, 10th February to host a very special head to head wine dinner.

We have selected three of the very best recent Bordeaux vintages and we are putting Chateau Haut Brion up against its neighbour and stablemate La Mission Haut Brion. With Bruno Paillard Champagne and a couple of the Haut Brion estate's fantastic white wines to kick off the evening, it promises to be an amazing dinner.

The vintages in question are 1990, 1995 and 2000 and the complete list of wines is as follows:

  • Laville Haut Brion 2003 - "Stunningly rich, full-bodied, and intense" 96pts, Robert Parker
  • Haut Brion Blanc 2003 - "The Rolls Royce of the dry white wines of Graves" 97pts, Robert Parker
  • Haut Brion 2000 - "A prodigious wine of dazzling persistence, length, and complexity" 98pts, Robert Parker
  • La Mission Haut Brion 2000 - "A superstar of this great vintage" 100pts, Robert Parker
  • Haut Brion 1995 - "Graceful, seamless, exceptional Haut-Brion" 96pts, Robert Parker
  • La Mission Haut Brion 1995 - "High-class...outstanding" 91pts, Robert Parker
  • Haut Brion 1990 - "An incredible expression of a noble terroir in a top vintage" 98pts, Robert Parker
  • La Mission Haut Brion 1990 - "A full-bodied, opulent, even ostentatious wine" 96pts, Robert Parker

The dinner will take place in the Marx Room at Quo Vadis (we feel sure Karl would have approved of an evening of such utter decadence) and the wines will be matched to a special 4 course meal.

Bibendum reserves the right to cancel any event due to unforseen circumstances, in which case the full ticket value will be refunded. Bookings will be confirmed prior to the event. Bibendum regrets that tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled at least two weeks prior to the event. Every effort will be made to re-sell cancelled tickets until that time, though any refund will be subject to a 10% admin charge. We reserve the right to refuse entry. E & OE.
