Bordeaux 2008
Bordeaux 2008 was a very surprising vintage with much better quality wines that we expected before the en primeur tastings. Robert Parker proved to be the vintage's biggest supporter when he released a host of outstanding scores last summer.
The wines came out at relatively modest prices following on from 2007 but have been creeping slowly up as people recognise the quality:price ratio. We expect further increases when the highly regarded 2009s are released in the spring.
For anyone interested in buying top Bordeaux from a strong vintage at a good price, these 2008s are looking very attractive.
