Time to upset the apple cart

Cider is a delicious, refreshing drink to enjoy on a sunny afternoon, but have you ever thought of using it as a cocktail ingredient? Cidre Le Brun’s delicious range of dry and sweet ciders from Brittany work fantastically with other flavours to make an innovative range of cocktails. We’ve picked four of our favourites to enjoy this summer.

 

Kiwi Cider + cider cocktail

Kiwi Cider Kir


Cidre Le Brun Medium

1 Strawberry

¼ Kiwi

35ml Vodka

10ml Sugar Syrup

 

Method:

1. Shake vodka and sugar syrup together

2. Pour in a highball over ice

3. Top with Cidre Le Brun Medium

4. Garnish with kiwi and strawberry

Thyme, Cider + cider cocktail 

Well Thymed Cider


Cidre Le Brun Dry

25 ml Thyme Syrup

15 ml Lemon Juice

25 ml Fiorente elderflower Liquer


Method:

1. Shake Fiorente, thyme syrup and lemon juice together

2. Pour in a highball over ice

3. Top with Cidre Le Brun Dry

4. Garnish with a sprig of thyme

 Dark matter + cider + cocktail  

 

Dark Matter Cider


Cidre Le Brun Dry

Zest of one orange

25 ml Fiorente

Elderflower Liqueur

10 ml Dark Matter spiced rum

 

Method:

1. Twist the orange zest round the inside of a highball

2. Fill with ice

3. Pour in Fiorente and Dark Matter

4. Top with Le Brun Cidre Dry

 

 Cider + Pococello + strawberry cider cocktail  


Strawberry Twist Cider


Cidre Le Brun Medium

1 strawberry (sliced)

Slices of apple

25 ml of Pococello Limoncello

10 ml of Sugar Syrup


Method:

1. Shake limoncello and sugar syrup

2. Pour in a highball over ice

3. Top with Cidre Le Brun Medium

4. Garnish with slices of apple and strawberries
