mytaste with Sam and Eddie Hart

Sam and Eddie Hart feature in the third episode of mytaste with Bibendum Wine. They speak to Jazz FM's Nigel Williams about their restaurants, growing up in the service industry and where they find their culinary inspiration.

Sam and Eddie HartThe Hart brothers have literally been brought up in the restaurant business. Their father is the well-known hotelier and restaurateur Tim Hart, owner of the legendary Hambleton Hall Hotel, whose restaurant has maintained a Michelin Star for over 20 years. Mix that in with all the influences from cities they have lived, including Mexico City, Madrid and Barcelona and you get their restaurants, Fino, Barrafina and Quo Vadis.

Determined to bring quality modern tapas to London, the Hart brothers set up Fino in 2003 with the aim of offering the best of both Spanish and British produce. Barrafina opened four years later delivering an authentic tapas bar experience and then came Quo Vadis in 2008, in which the brothers lovingly restored one of London’s most iconic and beautiful buildings to its former glory. In July this year the brothers opened their latest venture, a new Barrafina in Adelaide Street, Covent Garden.

Other notable industry figures featured in the series are: Thomasina Miers, co-founder of Wahaca; Xavier Rousset, owner of Texture and 28-50 and Sam and Eddie Hart, owners of Fino, Barrafina and Quo Vadis.
