Feel the fiesta with a Brazilian cocktail

Cocktail ingredients

With the 2016 Rio Olympics just around the corner, this summer is all about harnessing the noise and colour of one of the world’s most famous party capitals. And what better way to celebrate than with a Brazilian-inspired cocktail.

Starting out as a rather niche presence in the UK market, the popularity of Brazilian wine exploded when Brazil hosted the World Cup in 2014, with sales more than quadrupling compared to the previous year. Now the fifth largest producer in the southern hemisphere, Brazil is being taken seriously as a producer of quality still and sparkling wines.

This year’s Rio Olympics look set to further increase interest in Brazilian wines – so make sure you’re ready! We’ve created a delicious and refreshing Samba Thyme cocktail, which combines Miolo sparkling wine with Prairie Vodka, thyme and passionfruit.

As the country’s largest exporter of Brazilian wine, Miolo was founded by Giuseppe Miolo in 1897, who emigrated from the Veneto region in Italy to Brazil. With vineyards in Vale dos Vinhedos, Serra Gaucha and Campanha, Miolo produces a range of still and sparkling wines.

Get ready for Rio 2016 with our delicious and colourful Samba Thyme cocktail.
