Bibendum producers hailed in South Africa report

Tim Atkin

In his 2015 South Africa report, Tim Atkin was full of praise for Sijnn, Newton Johnson, Steenberg and Creation. South African wine is becoming a serious proposition for UK consumers and Tim emphasised the diversity and quality available in this country. He highlighted Newton Johnson as being among the pioneers of terroir-driven winemaking in South Africa, while the Sijnn Red 2013 was included in his Wines of the Year selection.

This follows a year of highs for South Africa. The recent 2015 vintage was one of the best on record, with virtually all our producers reporting consistent quality levels throughout. As Tim Atkin’s report shows, there’s never been a better time to be drinking South African wine. Speak to your Account Manager to find out more about our stunning South African wines.
