Our fundraising so far...
Over the last four years we’ve raised over £125,000 for the MS Society through a wide variety of events - see what we've been getting up to.
Action Against Hunger - Too Many Critics
In April 2012 the tables were turned on some of the country's leading restaurant critics, including Jay Raynor, Charles Campion and Giles Coren, as they laid down their pens to prepare an exclusive dinner judged by some of the UK's finest chefs and restaurateurs.
Held at London's Hawksmoor Guidhall, the evening raised £39,183 towards Action Against Hunger's international work.
Bibendum were delighted to sponsor a selection of wines for the dinner, and let loose a few of the team to sample the culinary delights on offer and help raise a few quid. Our first involvement with Action Against Hunger, we're looking forward to staging many of our own events through 2012, raising money to support the good work of the charity.

Charity Ball
Bibendum raised over £50,000 at its inaugural charity ball.
The ball took place in March at 8 Northumberland Avenue with a 1920s Dames, Dappers and Debutantes theme. Attendees included many of Bibendum’s customers and partners from the trade.
The crowd danced the night away to electro-swing duo The Correspondents and Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills following the all important charity auction conducted by Bibendum’s very own Willie Lebus.

Marathons
In 2009 Kate Lawton, Gemma Greenwood, Dan Haigh and Simon Barratt pounded the (gold-paved) streets of London Town on behalf of the MS Society.
In 2010 it was the turn of James Scott, Polly Long, Max Lloyd & Martin Day to don the MS bibs and run for all their lives were worth.
Finally in 2011, Ben Turner, Simon Barratt (again!?!), Helen MacFarlane, Matthieu Gouze and Toby Spiers were the stars to take up the mantle of fundraising and run for 26.2 gruelling miles.
Toby Spiers of the London sales team, went one giant step beyond the call of duty and completed four marathons in four weeks! He figured that if, he reeeally pushed himself, at the very least he would get the sympathy vote and sponsorship money!
The 3 years of marathons have raised over £25,000 for the MS Society.
Late Summer Fete in Primrose Hill
Quintessentially Primrose Hill, the charity committee brought a late summer fete to the doorstep of Bibendum’s HQ.
The sun was shining, loads of local businesses got involved and our spirits team were on hand to knock out a mean margarita. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we raised almost £1000 from an afternoon of fun and frolics!
Three Peaks Challenge
Budding Bonnington Jon Miller put a team together to go and smash some rambling records by completing the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the MS Society.
Miller and his team of hardy souls set out on the 8th July and battled not only the steep inclines but also the clammy heat of the English Summer, which pretty much ensured gales and flooding, to make this an even greater test of human endeavour.
Coast-to-Coast Cycle
In July, Off-Trade hero Gus Clark joined a group of three fellow tough nuts to cycle the challenging coast-to-coast Reivers Route, all in aid of the MS Society.
This 173 mile route crosses some of the wildest countryside in the UK, starting at the mouth of the Tyne and taking in Northumberland, the Scottish Borders and the Lake District before finishing in Whitehaven. Not a challenge for the faint-hearted!
The team rasied £2070 for the MS Society.
Bake Sale
Ed Goldman of the Design team grabbed an opportunity to raise some more cash at our Bibendum sales event by organising a cake sale. Big thanks to Ed and his team of Bibendum bakers for the effort and the delicious results.
Skydive
On September 12th 2009 a motley crew of Bibendumites gathered at Bicester airfield. Their mission was to jump out of a perfectly good plane, all in the name of charity. Some of the top quotes from the day:
Kyle Smith, "There really is no other thrill quite like seeing the underside of an airplane while doing a backflip with a burly dude strapped to your back."
Jamie Wynne-Griffiths, "I resigned myself to that fact that if a little bit of wee comes out it’s entirely excusable in the circumstances."
Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, customers, friends and family the total raised was over £5,000!
